UBAID CULTURE: BEFORE THE SUMERIANS [Was Ubaid culture the ancient Nimrod Kingdom? Was it a kingdom of many different nations/races? Ubaid Culture was initially stronger than the Sumerians. The Ubaid culture started in southern Iraq and spread to Mediterranean Sea and Persian Gulf as far as the Straits of Hormuz. ] Ubaid culture dominated Mesopotamia for several thousand years before the Sumerians. So perhaps the Ubaid culture was originally more technologically advanced than Sumerians. Perhaps Ubaid culture was originally stronger than they Sumerians. Perhaps the Sumerians only became strong once after they learned the secrets of Ubaid culture. The Ubaid culture eventually extended from upper sea to lower sea. [Upper Sea = Mediterranean, Lower sea = Persian Gulf/Indian Ocean] Was Ubaid culture connected to ancient Kingdom of Etana? The Sumerian King List says Etana united the nations. The bible suggests that the Nimrod Kingdom united nations but did not last. Assuming Etana and Nimrod were the same, does this mean that the Ubaid culture was the remnants of the Nimrod Kingdom? Thousands of years later, Akkad created a brief empire that stretched from the lower sea to the upper sea. i.e. From the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean Sea. Did Sargon copy the achievements of the Ubaid Culture? Was Etana an African ancient predecessor of Sargon? -------------------- The Ubaid culture invented various things: - cultivation - irrigation - urbanised cities (temple towns) - stamp seals/cylinder seals to mark produce. Later the Sumerians migrated/invaded, conquered Ubaidian cities, and invented cuneiform writing. So the Ubaid culture invented most of the elements of civilization before the Sumerians. So perhaps the Sumerians only became dominant after they absorbed the wisdom of the Ubaid culture, and then improved upon it. ---------------- The Sumerians were possibly once inhabited the lands in Eastern Arabia, and also inside the Persian Gulf basin. When the Persian Gulf flooded they lost their Dilmun homeland, and survived in Eastern Arabia on the coastal regions. This would make sense from Sumerian legends which state that Dilmun was considered a land to east where the sun rises. Later Sumerians travelled north and conquered the large Ubaidian city centres in Mesopotamia. But Ubaid culture was originally stronger than Sumerians. So the Ubaid culture possibly also existed in the Persian Gulf basin. Perhaps the Persian Gulf basin was divided with the Ubaidians in the north and the Sumerians in the south. [Ubaidians with proto-Canaanite&Sahel language, Sumerians with a Scythic&Sahel creole Language.] Both groups were probably Eurafrican: - Ubaid possibly Eurafricans descended from Havilah culture. - Sumerians possibly Eurafricans descended from Raamah culture. ---------------- There is map of ancient rivers in Arabia, reconstructed from Satellite mapping technology. This map is from a Journal Paper titled "Remote sensing and GIS techniques for reconstructing Arabian palaeohydrology and identifying archaeological sites" From this map, it is possible that: - Havilah Africans travelled downriver and gave rise to Ubaid Culture. <--- In conjunction with the ancient Dead Sea culture (proto-Canaanites). - Ramaah Africans travelled downriver and gave rise to Proto-Sumerian culture in the Rhub Al Khali. [the Rhub Al Khali desert was fertile land with rivers thousands of years ago, and possibly inhabited by the ancestors of the Sumerians.] --------------------------------------------------------------- Sources: 1.Remy Crassard & Paul S.
